What's the greatest danger to homeopathy?
Hmmm, if I'm asked that question, I guess I'd go with something like "facts" or "evidence" or "clinical studies." But thankfully we have a real live homeopath to tell us the REAL answer - and you're gonna love this. BTW, if you just got a new irony meter, you might want to set it aside because you'll blow it out for sure.

At this point the greatest threat to homeopathy comes not from allopathic practitioners or pharmaceutical companies but from self-professed homeopaths who do not follow the immortal laws and principles laid down by Hahnemann. Whether out of ignorance or laziness, or the desire to impress their patients with their gimmicks so that they can charge more money, these pseudo-homeopaths violate the most basic principle of homeopathy: to give a single remedy which covers the totality of the symptom picture. Some give three or four remedies within a single week; others give mixtures of several or even a dozen remedies at once. In so doing they harm the patient, which is bad enough, but worse still, they harm the profession and the reputation of homeopathy.

Much more if you can stand it...

I was not aware that homeopathy had any scrap of a reputation left that could be harmed! Go figure!

3. Splitters!
But what's this about "the immortal laws and principles laid down by Hahnemann". Oh dear, that sounds more like faith-based dogma than science to me. Real medical science is subject to change as we learn ever more.

4. What are you talking about Moggie?
Everybody knows scientists are dogmatically slaves to the scientific method and paradigm shifts never happen because you know..they don't really want answers....we like being closed minded skeptics!:sarcasm:

6. If that didn't confuse you enough...
Google "homeopathy" and "double blind testing." What a farrago of lies, half-truths, misstatements, and just plain BS.

I was looking for my favorite statement ever about homepathy. It was on James Randi's JREF site, I think.

Statement from a homeopathic expert: "We've given up double-blind testing. Double-blind testing just doesn't work with homeopathy."

Something's not working, all right. But it's not the testing.

if the scientific method doesn't prove your pet belief, then obviously the scientific method is WRONG!

11. That's a fatal flaw of epic proportions, then
The only thing that homeopathy has going for it is, in fact, its greatest weakness.

How positively mythic!
