Spore's Intelligent Design Leads to Plethora of Phallic Species

No sooner had the Spore Creature Creator been released (it's the tease for the September release of Will Wright's highly-anticipated biological sim game Spore) which allows users to create creatures that may ultimately inhabit the forthcoming game's online version, than a gallery of beasts resembling genitalia (both male and female) began popping up online.

Apparently, at least one of the creatures (this one with the more suggestive name of Boobalicious) has been banned.

Check out some of the more phallic creations (which Spore allows you to upload directly to YouTube) and see the guy above grunt and move around, AFTER THE JUMP (possibly NSFW?)...

Half your YouTube links are already dead - "Video removed due to terms of use violation blah blah blah there's sand in my naughty bits blah blah blah!"

The videos of cat abuse I have tried for 3 fucking months to get removed are still there!

3. I got tempbanned for Sen. John McCain

My namesake for him was a giant, walking dick.

The YouTube videos are being removed for a similar reason, but that's YouTube's decision. Spore's lead designer has been quoted all over the place as saying you could "make a penis plane fly into a vagina house" or something to that effect, but the important part of what he said was that there would be a filter users could use to remove objectionable content. Presumably, this is/was? to take the form of tagging creatures as "adult".

That filter doesn't yet exist.

So, don't make any sexual content in Spore until further notice, I guess. Damn.

I have to say, the Spore CC is amazingly easy to use. I had someone come over today who never plays PC games at all, and he was able to make a creature in about five minutes.

I think they just might have hit this one out of the park.
