More proof that Edwards supporters are the best :-)

I was shopping yesterday before I had to go to a bridal shower, and when I came out to my car (mind you, moments before the friend I was with had looked at my car and said, "Jude, you know Edwards isn't running anymore, right? Isn't it time to take that thing off your car?") and as I went to get in I saw a piece of paper under my windshield wiper...of course, my immediate reaction was "Oh fuck, someone hit my car!" followed by "Dammit not another note from some asshole that doesn't like all of my bumper stickers!" (I have on my car, in no particular order, JRE '08, If you're not outraged you haven't been paying attention, 1.20.09 the end of an error, Save the Ta-Tas, Blind faith in bad leadership is not patriotism, coexist, and Inconvenient truths do not go away just because you can't see them. I also used to have My bush would make a better president, which was my all-time favorite, but some jerk stole it about a year ago.)

Anyways. I got sidetracked, sorry :-)

So I grab the piece of paper, expecting horrible things, and instead, it said: "The country lost when John Edwards dropped out. I met him and Elizabeth twice and they are truly The Best!"

It made me smile, and almost shed a tear, and seemed like the real life act of someone as wonderful as all of you here, so I just wanted to share :)

Also, while I'm sharing random anecdotes about my life, the other night my husband was talking about something with the house or our pets or something and finished his sentence with a brief pause and then "All Three." I completely lost it, and he was totally confused (being that he has no idea who Lee Mercer, Jr. is, or that Jeb is all up in his house with disease :evilgrin:). Does anyone else have problems with random DU humor causing you to crack up at inappropriate times and confusing the hell out of whoever you are with? Just curious :D

5. lol, it's not.

They want me to wait until May 1 to start. I told them that's just fine, but I'll be looking for something else in the meantime. I'll hear by the end of the week on Missouri, and I've got a resume in with DFA, ACORN, as well as a few others. I'm sending of a resume today to Act Blue.

So while in theory I have my job, it's not starting for another month and a half, so I'm keeping my options open, as they say.

All is well though as while I'm waiting I'm staying in the old family home with my sister, which is all paid for, and I'm catching up on some work that has needed to be done around here for some time. It's a holding pattern, but a very comfortable one.

and she simply stated, that since Edwards is no longer in the race, she is disgusted at the way the democrats are running their campaigns. that it's all about THEM and not about US anymore. she's right. the democratic party has abandoned the american citizens ... not just other dems, but all human beings ... just like the rethuglican party. so who's left to vote FOR?

I bought the colorful ones and have 3 on my car, 2 on my husband's truck and 2 on my mail box. I took my yard sign down because it was getting very faded here in the Florida sun. I want to KEEP it and I still have posters that are clean and very nice!

Some look at me funny, some say they really WISH he was still running, but then some are simply "Redsters" and think any Democrat is an idiot! I live in a very RED COUNTY!! As if many don't already know that!

Well, I work with one (money makes strange bedfellows) and was a miffed but curious fly on the fall throughout his work on behalf of Bush. But this is what's amazing. He made a snide remark about my candidate "Obama" the other day. (I'd kept my Edwards work to myself.) I finally said, "Don't you know what I've been doing?" No, he didn't. I told him I was working for Edwards. SILENCE. A long silence. Then he finally replied, "Edwards is a good man!" O8) :cry:

And he meant it.

I have all my bumperstickers, pins and even yard signs and they will go everywhere with me and on every car I ever own -- FOREVER!

Edwards is the only one and I will NEVER GIVE UP! :grouphug:

It is 2:07 AM and I can't stop listening to Mark Knopfler and Emmy Lou Harris' singing "All the Roadrunning." I am devastated. Please get the song and listen to it. It is Elizabeth and John singing about what they tired to do. It is their song now and too much to bear. We must do something, not just complain and cry. There are some great people here!!! Please listen to the song. We HAVE to do something...
