Retired Army officer faces child porn charges

LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have arrested a retired Army officer on child pornography charges.

David Dube, 55, of Mesilla Park, N.M., was arrested Monday after forensic agents found dozens of images of naked prepubescent girls on computers seized from his home.

Dube, a defense contractor, is charged with receiving and possessing child pornography. He’s in federal custody at the Dona Ana County jail.

Dube also faces state charges of criminal sexual contact with a minor. He was arrested on those charges earlier this month after allegedly admitting to authorities that he had sexual contact with two Las Cruces-area children.
