One sure cure to letting this sort itself out is for one year after the policy is enacted, give straight-service members the ability to beat the snot out of any flaming homosexual flaunting their new found liberty. This will keep them in the closet, it worked in Korea when I was there and will work again. So welcome to the Marines Tinkerbelle, hope you have fun flaunting your pink underwear!

8. Back in the Day

We had a coupe of guys who were gay and you know what, nobody gave a crap as long as they were good submariners.

Never forget Submariners are the top 10% of the military, we are better educated and highly trained then the rest of the military, we are the best and still only take the best.

So it only makes sense that most do not care who is sleeping with whom.
