Flock of aircraft to test security over D.C.
Flock of aircraft to test security over D.C.
Staff report
Posted : Monday Dec 10, 2007 18:03:01 EST

The skies over Washington, D.C., will be abuzz Tuesday night with a training exercise to test response times and procedures for intercepting aircraft that have illegally flown into the high-security airspace over the nation’s capital.

Exercise Falcon Virgo 08-03 is designed to test the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s aircraft intercept and identification operations, a command statement said. Civil Air Patrol aircraft, Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons and C-38 executive jets and Coast Guard HH-65 Dolphin helicopters are set to participate.

Since Sept. 11, 2001, NORAD fighters have responded to more than 2,729 possible air threats in the U.S. and Canada, flying more than 47,638 sorties with the support of Airborne Warning and Control System and air-to-air-refueling aircraft.

NORAD has conducted exercise flights of this nature since the start of Operation Noble Eagle, the command’s response to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

1. Oh, God! Not more NORAD "tests"! Look out, DC!
What a bunch of shit this is. A: They HAD an air defense system that was working just fine, until Donald Rumsfeld disabled it. B: One of the ways he disabled it was an air defense "test" that just happened to coincide with 9/11, creating sufficient confusion to deflect attention from whoever it was who told NORAD to stand down that day.

These jet jockeys would be doing a lot more for the defense of this country by FINDING OUT what went wrong with our perfectly good air defense system that day, and who was responsible, and frying their asses, than by conducting all the "tests" in the world they can think up NOW.

It's not the "tests." We KNOW that the Air Force and NORAD are COMPETENT as what they do--excellent at it, as a matter of fact. It's WHO IS IN CHARGE, and who they gave orders to, and what treasonous moles are still lurking in the system, that is the chief danger to the American people. We will never be safe until they are found out, and purged. ANY system--even the best--can be disabled, by traitors. Who are they?
