An airman was arrested Thursday on child pornography-related charges.

Staff Sgt. Aldo Cesar Ruiz, with the 4th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., was arrested by officers of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged Friday with 10 counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations aided the sheriff’s office in the investigation, a spokesman confirmed.

Ruiz’s bond was set at $750,000. A district court spokesman did not know if Ruiz had posted bond as of Monday.

Ruiz’s trial is set for Dec. 20.

1. I am reminded of what the Bushites did to AF Capt. James Yee...
who was the Muslim chaplain at Guantanamo Bay, at the height of the torture there. They charged him with stealing government documents because he had lists of prisoners' names and their locations in his computer. (He was the chaplain!). They arrested him and shackled him in solitary for months. They threatened him with treason charges. And when their case against him completely collapsed, and with his family sitting in the court room, they THEN charged him with having pornography in a government computer, and then gagged him, so that he could never reveal what all this was about. (Was he trying to get names to the Red Cross? That could be why they went after him so viciously--although merely HELPING prisoners, providing solace to them, in torture conditions might have been enough for Bushites to ruin this man's life and career.)

Anyway, "innocent until proven guilty" MUST BE OUR RULE. We must repeat it over and over in our heads, when we read/hear about charges like this. This is BushWorld we are living in. We cannot trust any charge, any prosecution, or even any conviction, in a country in which the Justice Department has been so severely compromised, and in which Bushites remain anywhere in the system, at any level. We don't know what is going on. We don't know who is knifing whom in the back. We don't know what the real motives for any charge may be. We don't know how spying, blackmail and planted evidence may be at work. And we don't know who this charged person may be, or what the real story may be, which may be completely different from what has been alleged. Our country has been run for seven years now by a criminal syndicate, and I'm very leery of their use of "child porn" for ill purposes. It was Alberto Gonzales' last resort, every time he got caught lying. But he has to continue his great work of "keeping our children safe," he whined. It was enough to make you vomit. He was using "child porn" as a defense, and they may well be using it as a weapon.

Beware, beware! It's an issue that fascists love. And they don't love justice.
