$40,000 Bonus for Select Recruits

Starting in January 2008, recruiters will offer new select enlistees up to $40,000 toward their mortgage or to start a business under the new Army Advantage Program. The $40,000 requires a five-year commitment. Enlistees can receive lesser amounts for shorter terms. The money will be available after finishing the term. The new program will be tested in Cleveland, Montgomery, Ala.; Albany, N.Y.; Seattle and San Antonio before it's offered nationwide.

1. Plenty of money to kill. Nothing for aid to the elderly, children's health

insurance, heat aid for millions of people in dire need. And fuck food and shelter, that's just out of the question.

you would think that this would prevent some folks from falling in to dire need.
