I've had enough of trying to inform and communicate with ignoramuses who hate atheists because one pissed them off a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, or just because of their own paranoia and insecurities.

I don't see how anyone can muster the patience to go around and around with somebody like that. When I am looking at a thread and there are a lot of quick sentences interspersed with a lot of cut and paste, my eyes start to glaze over.

Several years ago I had started a new job and got suckered into a conversation with a Nazarene pastor about faith, evolution etc. and we were both trying to courteous, but I realized we were having two different conversations about the same thing. We were talking right past each other. It was an entire waste of breath. I don't miss the vast majority of the conversations I had with anyone in the south on the subject of religion and faith.

But then again, simple human pride often will not allow people to admit that they have been convinced of anything, but the trajectory of thier lives may well be changed nevertheless. And that's a two way street as well.
