Interesting article drawn from the 'Trinity Forum'
over in R/T. I assume the OP is looking for some debate . . .

1. It only took the OP a few posts
To get to the claim that Dawkins is "god" to the atheists.

This is really just flame bait, not debate. And Silent3 is handling it quite well without my help.

2. Oh fer god's sake - really?
That's why I don't argue about religion or atheism much - I just want everybody to leave everybody alone. Although I must admit to curiosity about the mindset that insists that everyone must have a "god," even atheists, and what definition of "god" got them into that position. Maybe I'll go have a look at it just for amusement.

4. Agreed. I refuse to be baited this time.
Even though my fellow atheists are certainly a bunch of master baiters.

I couldn't resist that one, either.

Every time I go to R&T, or jump into a thread with the woos, I end up spending way too much time looking for links, references etc. that never do a damn bit of good. While I'm just supposed to believe they were miraculously healed, or were recruited by the CIA as a Psychic Spy, or some other piece o' idiocy.

I try to read those threads for entertainment value only.

5. That's why it's mostly no use to argue.
Faith, by definition, is not subject to reason. <Sigh> It must be nice to be able to use "because" as an argument.... ;)

3. I thought Carl Sagan was our god.
Edited on Sun May-03-09 07:54 PM by onager
At least he resembles traditional gods in one way--he's dead.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Edited to clarify. I think.

6. Yes, Master Sagan is definitely our deity
These Dawkins worshiping heathens are headed in the wrong direction, I think. King Carl is the one true, everlasting, and radiant gawd. Praise be to him, always and forever, amen.

Or something...
