There's actually a lot I have not read.

BTW: Gardner is recovering from bypass surgery is currently in ICU, things are not going exactly smooth but everyone still seems optimistic.

1. I've read a few of those books, but most are some I haven't heard of.

Would have been informative to see what the range of publishing dates were for that list.

2. He does give a rough idea ...

From the blurb at the top of the Novel side: "This list was devised to point younger readers toward older stuff that they might not have heard of, or long out-of-print writers whose work they might be unfamiliar with, so I've arbitrarially given it a cut-of date of some vague point in the early '80s"
