Razor to the big screen (for some)
From the Chicago Tribune: "There will be free screenings of the film in movie theaters in eight cities on Nov. 12: Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, San Francisco, Dallas, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle and, yes, Chicago. The screenings will take place at multiple locations in each city, but all of the screenings will be on the evening of Nov. 12.

...

Admission is free, but those who want to see “Razor” at a movie theater must first register at the site battlestarevent.com. The site will not go live until Friday. Repeat: The site will not go live until Friday. Seat registrations will be given away first-come, first-serve."

More info at the Tribune's site: http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com/entertainment_tv/

Finally. Finally! With the flashback-sodes, the release of the S3 soundtrack, and finally this. The BSG goodness is starting to flow again. :D

1. Just a bump
to let anyone who's interested know that the website is finally live: http://www.battlestarevent.com/

You'll get a confirmation email, after registering, that you'll need to print out for entry (I guess) on Nov 12.

Good luck

I did manage to go and it was fantastic! To be able to experience BSG on the big screen was quite an experience. Sfx held up rather well I thought but it's no ILM, you know? The movie is structured as a television show w/ definite act breaks for commercials - that was something that I hadn't thought of. The one annoying thing however was the commercials that they inserted in the middle of the movie (basically the juncture between part 1 and part 2). That, I definitely did not expect. When this is officially broadcast to TV, I think that you'll be happy. It'll have to tide us over until s4 next year (*next* frakking year, Argh!)

Cool! I'm so glad to hear that it's good. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the clips shown during Flash Gordon (because, you know...Flash Gordon), so I don't really know what to expect.

I cannot frakking wait until Saturday! They kept showing commercials for it during Stargate: Atlantis and I actually caught myself bouncing with glee.
