1. Wow! That man is everywhere.
Whatever he did on his recent vacation must have been amazing because he is as busy now, just about, as he was at this time in '04.

I missed this. What was said?

2. Anderson Cooper interviewed him
about the need to increase troops in Afghanistan and the situation in Iraq. Sen Kerry calling for 5,000 and saying Iraq is a disaster (my word, not sure if that's what he used). Cooper introduced him, IIRC, as the former and possibly the future presidential candidate or something like that.
It was a fairly short, but good interview.

5. It's up.
Recently, former presidential contender John Kerry, and perhaps even future presidential contender John Kerry, has accused the Bush administration of essentially of cutting and running here in Afghanistan.

I spoke to Senator Kerry earlier tonight.

(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)

COOPER: Senator Kerry, do you believe we're winning the war on terror here in Afghanistan?

SEN. JOHN KERRY (D), MASSACHUSETTS: No. I think that the Taliban -- well, winning -- I think it is a losing proposition right now, in the sense that it's going downhill and backwards. The Taliban is resurgent in the south. And there are enormous difficulties on the border.

4. I caught it too!
I was really lucky because I'm up early this morning to drive my daughter to the train station. Anderson Cooper introduced JK by mentioning that Kerry said the Bush Administration was "cutting and running from Afghanistan".

7. FYI--AC360 enjoys CNN's highest ratings in prime time
And I'm sure the Kerry office must also know this. I also think they're pretty liberal-friendly. Everybody talks about Wolfie and all of his biases; I just ignore him and watch Anderson Cooper for on-the-scenes news and video. Frequent stand-ups by Christiane Amanpour.
My only gripe is that CNN makes all the programs carry the "crime of the week" for so much of their time. But that's what fast-forwarding is for. ;)
