Wow! Those are extremely powerful assignments. Wow, chair of Social Security, Pensions and Family Policy is a great thing. (Mass Folks: Sen. Kennedy is outright Chair of Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. Synergy here.) And viceChair on Health Care. Hmmmmm, see Kennedy above. Hmmmmmm. Proposals and funding. Hmmmmmm.

Was this in the hearing this morning? I am a bit surprised that Kerry got such a powerful committee. He was 5th inline on this committee. He really has a lot going on in the Congress. A great, great deal.

Congrats to JK! :D With so many Senators running for the WH, I guess that leaves some of the better committee assignments for those who won't be travelling the country campaigning all the time.
