OT: Shameless plug for organization that's helping my Mom

My (blind and elderly) Mom just found out she was approved for free home repairs by this organization, called “Rebuilding Together”. (They used to be known as “Christmas in April”) This spring, they are going to replace her leaky roof, fix her crumbling front steps, and help make her house more handicapped-accessible. I plan on giving them a nice donation when I get home tonight. If you know of anyone that could benefit from their services, please pass on the information. Or if you’re looking for a worthy cause to donate to, consider this one. In addition to renovating the homes of low-income elderly and disabled people, they have also been active in rebuilding homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina, and helping injured veterans by making their homes handicapped-accessible.

I'm happy to hear they are going to help your mom.

They are doing good work. Their "Serving Those Who Serve" program caught my eye and it was nice to read that they are helping an injured soldier make repairs and modifications to his home.
