also, if people know folks in other candidate groups on DU, could you ask them for a rec. Might also be a nice "ice-breaker" between groups.

BTW, this does mean ALL Democrats.

3. JK was just on Ed Schultz
Talking about Obama and the campaign; basically a repeat of everything he said on This Week. Eddie commented later that JK just showed us a good model of how to promote your candidate without trashing all the others. But we knew that already, didn't we? Class act.

. . also noticed a particularly wise and timely comment from that Wise Woman, karendc. . Thanks, karendc!!!

Someday, when the view backwards is long
and clear, John Kerry will stand out as the effective leader he is. I really do not understand the people who say he did nothing about elections, about the war, about the SB jerks. I think when the dust clears, we will know much more about what he did do, and when, and to whom.

A warrior is not always someone who shouts in people's faces. I spent yesterday afternoon at an event with a lot of Vietnam-era Vets for Peace, and those guys were clear, and ready, and determined to end not just the current war, but ALL wars. They may not spout off about everything they know, but they sure do act on it, quietly at times, but with devastating aim.

Take a long hard look at the facts, the choices, and the results, and you may see a tall man standing with determination, looking up at the sky, while all around him there is panic.

6. That's a great comment from KarenDC. I also wanted to
share this one, too:

Kerrymade the finest appearance (6+ / 0-)

He refused to bash Clinton or Edwards as much as George tried to make him do it. He advocated for one candidate while uplifting the whole party. It was a refreshing change and all spokespeople for all candidates could learn a lesson.

I don't loathe Kerry. Since 2004 he has found his voice and spoken out on issues strongly. He's been a great Senator. We don't have many.
In fact it's such a rare commodity I am very grateful.

But I was especially grateful yesterday to hear him resist the press and make the whole party look good.

7. And that was him, on 911 in DC. Calmly looking up.
Measuring the situation, while others were fleeing. I can SO trust him, in all things.
