7. Our Capitol Building
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 04:38 PM by ginnyinWI
here in Wisconsin is almost as high as the one in Washington D.C. In fact, when they were building it, they had to alter it to make it a number of feet shorter, so that it wouldn't be taller! It's a magnificent building, and I'm glad it got in pics from this rally.

I must confess, I love this pic! No good reason, I just flat out love this pic! Maybe cuz it's from MIT.

EDIT: I don't mean to pick on the MIT genuises, but their jumping-jacks are not, ahm, up to code in this pic.

38. Yikes! How soon we forget those huge crowds he drew!
That was a huge indoor rally. I heard about it but wasn't there. Madison is our state's progressive hot-spot, as you may know. They call it Mad-town, and UW-Wisconsin's reputation is well-known. But this was still great, considering that probably a majority of them would have, in the beginning, preferred Kucinich, Dean or even Nader!

20. I will
So, I went down to the basement of the Rayburn building today at work after work was done so I could get a snack and juice, saw this really cute girl on the elevator, and she saw my badge, she was like so you're an intern huh, I am like yes I am, oh woh do you work for she asked, well I Said, I work for Marcy Kaptur, she's from Toledo, she's like oh! I am from Ohio. I was liek thats neat, and I talked about how cool the job is, but then we got to the second floor and went in opposite ways since I had to go pick up my carpool mate. I saw her again on the First floor but we didnt talk since I couldnt get her attention snce she was in a conversation. We didnt even exchange names but she was pretty and like 9 out of 10 0f my crushes for sure older than me, not like how Ann Bancroft is to Dustin Hoffman in the graduate but old enough to be my sister types, so like 2-3 years older.

23. Anne Bancroft is only 6 years older than Dustin Hoffman, BTW
They were both in their 30s when the movie was made. Says something about Hollywood casting and post-starlet women at the time (and now). They could totally have gone out and it wouldn't be freaky.

Get your nerve up and ask her! :D

Yeah I thought she was only slightly older than him since I know he was 30 when the film was made and she looked to be in her 30's.

25. do you see her regularly ?
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 08:41 PM by JI7
if you do then just try to start conversations with her when you get the chance. try to find out where she stands when it comes to politics.is she into sports ? what else does she like to do ? if you both are the same when it comes to politics and other things then you would have reason to want to contact each other on things like political events you both may want to attend such as rallies, protests or anything else.

even better and easier would be getting her email. if you have some good exhanges it would be easier to get her phone number after that.

19. Question on pics
How tasteful do pics have to be? I have a pic that shows mice engaging in behavior that Rethugs do not approve of (they are unmarried mice) and I have named it 'Corsi and o'Neill.' Can I show this pic on DU?

Thank you. This is the strangest pic, you just have to see it to believe it. My neice sent it to me.
