How wrong of me would it be to say
FINE! DON'T VOTE FOR MY CANDIDATE! VOTE GREEN! SEE IF I CARE!

Eh, that's not just a Kerry-inspired rant, btw. That's a Dem inspired rant as well. How can we make all these special interest groups happy? The answer is, we can't. So what do we do? Do we let them fall by the wayside? Or do we play a game of Twister with our politics, trying to cover every space no matter how contorted we get?

Ugh.

1. it's too early right now
i just ignore most of it. but as the 2006 elections come up if anyone is continuously complaining about any Dem candidate i would tell them to just not vote for them.

i did the same with Kerry towards the end.

2. I'm ready to tell them to get their ABB ass out of my party
at this point. One more litmus test, just one more, and I'm going to plotz.

3. just ignore them
what they mostly want is attention anyways for their rants and then to act like victims if you tell them any differently.

they are a waste of time to deal with. there are thousands and millions of people out there who seriously are open to voting for anyone and they are the ones to convince. not the ones who just rant and complain. they are only a few but they are loud.

5. I agree. It's hard to hold back, but giving them more attention invites..

more bashing. Sadly, they will never get it.

6. It's almost amusing when one of them tries to include the whole group
in their rant, as if they were the spokesmen for their particular group.

4. I've been tempted to say similar things.
IMHO, I think the best thing we can do is to support John Kerry and ignore them. They don't care about facts or truths. Left along, maybe they will eventually realize no one candidate or party can offer them everything they want 100% of the time.

7. Oh I BEG them to
Pleeeze...please, please, please.. GO GREEN!!!

Here's how I see it. The right is splintering. Either the Fristians or the Todd-Whitmans will win. If the Todd-Whitmans win, then that makes a happy home for lots of pro-choice, civil union, green moderates who also want low taxes and are pro business.

But, if our lefties go Green, and build a very vocal positive party, then that allows the Democrats to build a solid center. The Republicans will be left with a very weak Theo-con group, and the Greens can help pull the country to the left.

It's a good plan. I wish they'd listen. I don't think they think I'm serious when I truly beg them to do this.

8. I have to say that in the last few years
I've come to share this POV.

There comes a point where the far left of the party does more harm than good.
