Telecom bill is being introduced on the floor
Edited on Mon May-01-06 02:05 PM by TayTay
and Sen. Stevens is saying nice things about Sen. Kerry and his efforts to get broadband access for cities. Stevens is promising that Kerry will be on the floor offering improvements and such.

Stevens was very nice to Kerry and says the final bill is based on his bill that he co-wrote with Sen. Lautenberg and Inouye.. (Ensign's bill is the one that seeks to make sure that local business doesn't have unfair competition from local government. Oh boy, that will hide a lot.)

(BTW Sen, I could really use that city-wide wifi bill. I'm just saying. It would come in handy in, ahm, big Northeastern cities, especially for, ahm, live-bloggers. I'm just saying.)

1. How sweet,
albeit potentially temporary. This legislation is cool.

Do you know when the Senator is expected back?

2. There is a vote today at 5:30 pm.
It's a minor vote on a judical appointment. The esteemed taller Senator from Mass should be there, as far as I know. (The esteemed not-as-tall Sen from Mass is there now. He is giving a nice speech on how rotten the Bush Admin is on Iraq. He sounded a lot like another Sen in some aspects of his remarks.)

5. Thanks!
Excellent! I'm glad Kennedy is reinforcing the points.

4. Yes, but I'm not proposing specialized legislation
Any old building that is historic in nature, at least 270 years old and was significant in the history of the American Revolution will do.

Now, could that be any more fair?
