Reading some interesting tea leaves today
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050125/ap_on_re_us/democrats_chair_2

Bob farmer, former finance chair for JK is supporting Dean. Considering that Farmer has been with Kerry forever, I think this is a good sign that either Kerry is clandestinely supporting Dean or at least not an ABD.

Hmmm, intriguing

2. Farmer has been with Kerry since, what '84.
And there are other Kerryites in on the Dean race as well. I think it would be fine with JK if Dean won. I think they can work together just fine.

I just want to see the DU/DKos reaction. What's the opposite of a shitstorm anyway?

3. Heads exploding
all over the place. Can't wait.

There's the Steve Grossman connection as well. He worked for Dean, then came crawling back () to Kerry. But he was a longtime Kerry guy before that. He's probably still not in JK's good graces, but is another link between the two.

4. Jim Jordan got hired too!
I know JK fired him in Nov 03, but still.

I really think it's funny that this is so under the radar. I'm not the sharpest pencil in the box, and I noticed this. Others should have.

13. No, Dean did
Dean hired him a couple of weeks ago to help in the DNC Chairmanship race. Whometense and I were just going through all the folks with Kerry-links who are now aligned with or have endorsed the good Dr. We think this might mean something behind the scenes.

7. I read that all Kerry asked was that Dean be neutral in the 2008 Prez
nomination race and that was it. Dean said yes.

9. OK, that's not going to happen
Hmmm, wonder if the DU:Baiters will be upset, unamused or just pissed off. I guess they will be confused. You mean Dean had help.

I like Dr. Dean. It's some of his more ardent followers who bother me. (And not all Dean followers are Deaniacs. I wonder if they are a source of embarrasement to the good Dr.)

11. Simon Rosenberg who Chris Heinz supports
has been critical of Kerry's campaign also for not putting in place some of the ideas he wants the party and wanted the campaign to do.

so i was surprised when i found out Chris was supporting him but it just shows it's not really that big an issue. i'm sure Kerry's backing of Vilsack had more to do with just supporting a friend especially after he passed him over for vp.

14. Heinz is a member of NDN and knows Rosenberg so I think that is why
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 02:31 PM by Pirate Smile
he supports him.

edit to add: Chris mentioned that he likes Dean and won't be upset if he wins.

17. yes, that is why he supports him
and from what i remember hearing Chris had to say he isn't a liberal like Kerry and much more moderate in his views. i think he is more closer to his late dad than to Kerry when it comes to politics.

so it really isn't a surprise he supports rosenberg after knowing about that.

Of all the others running for DNC chair, who campaigned for Kerry the most? DEAN!
