Great Moments in Messiah Performances -- gotta hear this one
This clip was forwarded to me in an email. I don't know who the poor organist is who's now becoming famous on the interet in this mp3 (referred to as "Messiah organist on crack"), but I can say I'm very glad it wasn't me!

1. It sounds as if he put his hands down without looking!

2. Well I'm no organist,
but I'll bet he pulled out a transposition stop instead of the "hugest-sound-you-can-get-out-of-an-organ" stop.

3. Sounds faked to me.
The organ is placed in the background for most of the excerpt, then suddenly pops forward on the final cadence, but it doesn't sound like the swell boxes were opened wide.
