6. Everybody should get up here at least once in their lives.
Late May, early June is the best time -- or my favorite, September, when it's still fairly warm, the fall colors are out, and most of the tourists have gone home. Sometimes it's kind of rainy here in July and August, but it's still beautiful nonetheless.
