Earth Air Fire Water
So I finally got around to scanning the last few rolls of film. This is an image I found while at our favorite winter beach getaway last year.

1. amazingly therapeutic
My blood pressure just dropped 10 points.

If you don't mind, I'd like to replace my seagull desktop background with your photo - and continue the calming therapy session.

3. Feel free to use it. I've put a 1024X768 pixel version up at
http://xs223.xs.to/xs223/08054/moclips-winter06-0011-3t-1024x768539.jpg

It is cropped to fit the most monitor common display size and
is less compress (about 1/2 MB). If another size would be
better for you, let me know.

Glad you find it pleasing. Calm is hard to find these fays.

7. Oh, thank you, ConsAreLiars!
When I got up yesterday and read that the lunkheads had managed to pass Amendment 1 (property tax 'relief'), I came in here to escape the stupid, greedy, short-sightedness of my fellow FloriDUHians. The first post I saw was yours, and I lost myself in your photo.

You took me back to icy mountain streams on a hot summer day, and boy, did I need that. Thanks again. :hi:

2. Thank you, that is very calming.
I'm a little worked up today, too. I see many days of hanging out in the PhotoGroup ONLY in my future. I just can't bear politics right now.

5. SO is a bit stressed after the move, no job yet, yada yada, and we had become
accustomed to taking a few days during the winter to enjoy the Olympic Peninsula coast. This sort of thing. Lucy - that's the dog - had become a bit chunky last winter, but has since trimmed back to her usual fit form. New clerk at the pet food store did the usual "Wow-what-a-great-dog" routine (they rarely say "What-a-repulsive-beast") but was surprised to learn her age (70 in human years), and she is a living testimonial to the value of an appropriate organic diet. And, in her own love of being in the instant, she gets Zen Master karma points.

4. Lovely
Although maybe this is the kid in me, but it makes me want to grab those smooth, flat rocks and do some rock skipping across the water. ;)

6. There is a certain "seeing without labeling" in photography.
Just being there. The moment. Glad you felt that.

I've watched your photos evolve from "here's a bird" (far better than I ever got, but still with the labeling reaction) to "here's a real unique living being." My second-born has been able to do the same thing with plants and his flower pix far exceed anything I have done, despite many more years of trying. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/50722509@N00/

Here's the locale for that photo:

8. Gorgeous
I tell you what. You take me there and you can do landscapes while I find birds. Thanks for the comment about my birdies too. :hi:
