I just see this now, June 25.

The first one is my standout favorite, there is something so stunning to me about the dichotomy (I hope that's the word, I'm still working on the English)
of the water that is so in focus and therefore solid and credible, and the sky that is soft and out of focus and therefore to me full of promise and expectation.
That's why I said hopeful.
Love it.

3. Oh, I LOVE Homer,

one of my favorite little towns here. My brother and sister-in-law live down there, and since they bought a fishing boat at the end of last summer, I'm sure we'll be spending a LOT of time down there in the coming year. :)

That's a very nice shot, and you must have been up REALLY early (or never went to bed) to get it.

Here's a pic of what you have to look forward to next summer with your brother. The ome thing I hate about Alaska? Every spring I get depressed knowing that I will not be returning to Alaska to enjoy your great state. Oh well, I still have the memories and pictures of the summer I spent up there.

I think I have a very similar photo from in front of "Buttwhackers." I just love the name. :)

Next time you come up here, let us know, and maybe we can arrange a little fishing trip for you. I'm sure my brother would charge you a lot less than the charter guys. He's got a great little boat, made especially for conditions in Kachemak Bay. It even has a heated cabin, a necessity, as far as I'm concerned.

6. Yes

Two of those fish were mine including the one on the far left. 113 lbs. As you probably know not a trophy but a great rush none the less, and in my opinion the finest table fare anywhere. We chartered with Captain Tony and the Falcon, a complete class act. He won the derby that year with a fish in the 360 lb. range.
