Remember the sculpture of ladders? I picked my ladders up today....
at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art.

It's the former home of the Hanes family, founders of Hanes Hosiery, and they donated it to make the gallery for contemporary art.
I'm only showing a bit of the Home, not the gallery parts. Those are contemporary, appropriately, and at this point under renovation. Nobody liked my hanging out and taking pictures much.

Lovely cobble stone walks

Front Entrance to the residence, with a bust of P.Huber Hanes to the right.

Back patio

The next one is a house I passed on the way, seemingly the people not only have money but also a sense of sculpture, and where to put it.
The house it too large for my lens - on the right is a full YWCA size pool fully inclosed with glass walls and hung with wysteria in full bloom.

1. Love the cobblestone pic
The B&W treatment works well. I also like the lines and perspective of the back patio image. Very nice.

2. That's a long time to go without your ladders.
Did you know it would be so long when you lent them?

Love the stone work on that one house and the cobblestones are wonderful.

3. You must think I lent him ALL of my ladders! NOT.

photo to refresh your memory and now imagine I walked up to the guy after he finished the installation and hurriedly said:
I have an unexpected job to do downtown, and must have my ladder right now.
He was speechless, it was funny.
