A Wabi-Sabi Collector in LA?
I knew I would find some Wabi-Sabi in lower Alabama, along the two lane roads. I also knew that my hubby gets a bit antsy when we make unscheduled photography stops, so I had better find something productive--and stop just once.

All this stuff was strewn ARTFULLY around a field, like sculpture. I snapped quickly because I wondered about someone collecting guns as well. Let's just say I trespassed.

1. I adore the first one.
simple images and complex patterns all at once. But then I tend to get drawn toward patterns and hints of symmetry.

3. Thanks, that is my fave as well
Particularly with the bar across it, somewhat spoiling the symmetry. Too much perfection and symmetry is probably the antithesis of wabi-sabi :silly:

2. And there you were worried. These are great. You found a nest of them.
First one is my favorite with the third a close second.
Beautiful colors.

4. No wabi-sabi on the Emerald Coast for sure, but LA??
I was never concerned about finding wabi-sabi in LA. However, I was very concerned about getting my husband to actually stop the car. We did some bargaining. I have a lot of blurry images too, shot going sixty miles per hour. I almost had him stop again, because there was a rusty old train locomotive, of all things--sort of an informal type of rusty train outdoor museum by the side of the road, in a free public park. I love two lane roads!
