A forgotten favorite
this was going to be my entry for the fall contest, until I got another I liked more. Then I considered using it for the current contest, but no.

The light was very appealing, especially the little tracer trail of a spider web against the shadows.

Did you consider cropping it vertically?

Not an extreme crop, but just a little ...

I love the colors and her expression. Very peaceful...

2. I tried a bunch of things with this one
a black & white version, some crops, curve adjustments, etc. In the end, I came back to it pretty much as it came out of the camera. The bokeh is harsh and contrasty, and the composition is dull, but I got so used to the image as is that I finally deemed it a little sacrosanct, or at least beyond me to make it more effective.
