Bottles in Black and White
Image taken at this neat little shop.

Originally I had it set to only recognize reds, but it looks better as a black and white.

1. I love the textures and the shades of gray, black and white!

2. Thank you. It works much better as black and white.
The colors would have gotten in the way of the textures and shades. I need to remember that color should only be used when it is essential in telling the story.

3. the foil makes it so special in black and white
reminds me of a bottle redemption facility I used to go to in St. Johnsbury, VT. They had a shelf around the inside perimeter of the room, about 3/4 of the way up the wall, and on that shelf they had to have one of every kind of bottle, soda, beer, wine, etc... would have been a great pic too

5. Thanks, I'm drinking a nice Oatmeal Stout from there right now.
It's goooood. Next time I'm there I want to do a portrait of a woman that works there. She has a very interesting shaped face and very strong features.

7. Oatmeal Stout?
sounds wonderful. Two of my favorites combined. I expect a review in the not too distant future.

8. The Oatmeal Stout is Anderson Valley, the Russian
Imperial Stout is Bells Brewery. The Best Stouts I've found so far are Founder's Breakfast Stout and Sierra Nevada Stout. The Sierra Nevada is reasonably priced.

9. This is an absolutely perfect photograph. On additional reflection,
did you experiment with taking away the front bottle on the right? It distracts me a bit.

10. I though of that, but I would have had to make sacrifices elsewhere to
Keep the 800X600 format.

17. That fascinates me, and shows me how little I know, too.
Unless it is for an entry into the contests I pay NO attention to format. I just crop it the way it makes me happy.
Another example of "ignorance being blissful."

11. Love the textures
I particularly like the contrast of the bumpy texture of the foil and the smooth glass. Fantastic shot!

15. You have received many
accolades and comments before me, and all well deserved.

What I personally take from this photo? A new inspiration, and I thank you for that.

16. That's what this forum is about: Sharing and learning.
I've learned a lot here, and I hope I can pass on what I learn.
