Owl
Not sure what kind of owl this is. It was taken in South Texas.

1. Wow great catch.
He does not look happy with you. You got some great detail there in a hard shooting situation. I would of ended up with a pissed off owl in silhouette. And leaves, you have leaves on you trees. Green with envy on the weather.

3. Those feathers
Look like a sculpture. Like WJMS, I would have wound up with the tail of the owl in flight, most likely. Good job.

4. Looks like a great horned owl
Nice catch! It's hard to find these guys out in the daylight.

About once a year I hear a racket of crows and bluejays. (Yes, cooperating.) Usually when I track down the noise, I find they are harassing a great horned who is mighty peeved to be missing his morning shuteye. I have yet to figure out exactly why they are harassing the owl, and why they are cooperating in the harassment.

5. LOL
It took me a few hours before I figured out that the crows were NOT going to let the eagles alone on Whidbey Island last summer. Everywhere I went there were crows dive bombing the eagles. I'm pretty sure that the eagles swipe the blackbird eggs and young. Methinks the owls do the same thing to the crows and bluejays. And, the enemy of my enemy is my friend!!! I have a lot of crow/eagle harassment photos, none that great from a photographic standpoint, but interesting anyway.

7. Man, those crows are brazen critters
I don't think I would tackle an eagle.
