Sunday 7/31. I worked out today. Did you?
Or are you taking a break today?

I did a 2 mile walk/run today. I ran 3/4 of a mile and walked the rest. Although I was not able to increase the distance that I can run at one time (1/8 of a mile) I did increase the overall distance that I was able to run by 1/16 of a mile.

I also hopped on the scales today and I've lost 6 pounds in the 11 days since I started working out. Although I've made a few modifications I haven't really started to diet yet. That has got me feeling very optimistic about the future.

3. I've fallen off the wagon for a few days
But am clambering back on today. Have been travelling and just didn't make the time. Oops. But will do my cardio pilates video in an hour or two.

6. I got a taste of off-road biking today.
Mr. Longhorn and I were checked out a shortcut for my commute that involved taking a horse trail. The route involves riding on a busy U.S. highway for about half a mile (instead of just crossing it) and squeezing through some brush that is actually crossing private property. The off-road part would be pretty sticky after a heavy rain, too.

I think I'll take the longer way, all public roads, even though this other route would cut about 2.5 miles. But it was fun and we got in ten miles! :)
