BOSTON TEA PARTY...AUGUST 16, 2006
The 1773 Boston Tea Party began the American Revolution.... I would like send the white house some tea bags to signify THE NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION, of course these tea bags would be used to signify my disgust for this administration. I would like thousands of tea bags sent from all over our country and let this administration know we are a strong group that has band together and we will indeed take our country back in the upcoming elections and in 2008. Anyone with me on this ?

2. The Sons Of Liberty
Attention Patriots! On December 16, 1773, the Sons of Liberty, a group of 150 residents of Boston lead by Samuel Adams stormed Griffin’s Wharf and dumped 342 crates of tea into Boston Harbor, an act of rebellion known the world over as the Boston Tea Party.

In honor of their action, and in order to signal to the current King George and his cronies that the November Revolution is at hand, we call on all GOOD PATRIOTS to send tea to D.C.! That’s right, it’s TEA PARTY TIME!!

Save those used tea bags, ladies and gentlemen, and put them to a NOBLE CAUSE. Send your tea bags to the Republican National Committee at 310 First Street, SE, Washington DC 20003. Let’s dump our tea in their laps!!

3. Okay, maybe you need to post the details.
If this is going to be a coordinated effort you need some things in place.

1. A domain, a web site and some bandwidth.
2. A good promotion so that the word gets out.
3. Possibly a way for people to do this via a surrogate, somebody to mail the tea bag out for a small donation (the proceeds from which will go to an appropriate cause).

I can't think that DU would get the word out well enough to get many core people.

5. Domain and Web site first.
Somebody's gonna have to pay for that. I've been unemployed for four months. But I can help technically.

PM me if you need help.

8. For a minute there....
I thought you were talking about dumping them in the harbor, which definitely doesn't need any more garbage thrown in it. Count on me to sent the twit a few bags of loose tea.

Honestly though....I don't think he will get the hint.

Nifty little Tea Party trivia: The minutes for the Masonic meeting on the night of the original party has nothing on the page but a big T. Their first American Grand Lodge was at the Bunch of Grapes Tavern, a meeting place for early Freemasons such as Paul Revere, George Washington and John Hancock.
