Final reminder for Carnival of the Liberals #10

It’s that time. Carnival of the Liberals #10 will be held on Wednesday, April 12th over at PZ Meyer's Pharyngula. There’s no particular theme this time around but here’s what PZ Myers has to say:

You can guess what I like: uncompromising liberalism. Strong words. No apologies. Secularism (Steven Waldman and Amy Sullivan need not bother sending me anything, but that does not preclude Christian contributors). I’ll look especially favorably on anything about science and science policy.

And that’s the way we like it! No apologies indeed. Liberalism is something to be proud of.

In any event, PZ needs your submissions by Tuesday, April 11th. He didn’t give a specific time so I assume he’s somewhat flexible but putting together Carnival of the Liberals is time consuming because it is a selective blog carnival, so be kind. The earlier the better.

That would attract a ton of excellent writers who have never participated before. Got to admit, I'm a little nervous about Doctor Biobrain hosting. Actually from what I can tell, his evil alter ego Dr. Snedley is the one who will be hosting next time. ;-)

4. They're not ranked

However, Carnival of the Liberals is a selective blog carnival meaning that only the ten best submitted posts are used. The host of each edition gets to determine the criteria for "best". I hope that a wide variety of hosts speaking from different perspectives will insure that CotL never becomes stale or stagnant.

Biobrain's "winner!" post is just an example of this schtick he does. I've had lengthy e-mail exchanges with him and he's not anything at all like he seems online. He's cultivating a John McEnroe-crossed-with-Orson Welles-like persona. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
