Any verdicts yet on the new TRU tv? Sigh
Has anyone noticed anything different? I hate shows like "World's Worst Most Exciting Video Chases", and I hope they don't start running stuff like that more, and shows like Forensic Files less.

1. Tru TV is more like FOX TV's "World's craziest police chases".

I use to look forward to informative, scientific programming on Court TV, but unfortunately, it's become a "When things fall down or blow up" or when "boobies bounce on a beach or when people drive drunk" channel. :-( Did Rupert Murdoch buy it? It seems like his caliber of programming.

On Edit: The program, Arrest and Trial, has been bemoaning libruls and their lack of desire for the death penalty. :eyes:

2. Looks like the same ol' same ol' to me.
I've noticed no change in their programming, except maybe more cop chase videos. I hate those. The only crime shows I like are ones like Forensic Files.

3. I haven't noticed much of a change
But I think it's too early for me to tell. I usually just run through the guide and when I see something good I switch to that, I don't really notice what channel I'm on.

6. Check out "Snapped"
sometime. Sure, it is on WE, but still a pretty good show.

4. They should have renamed it to Dumb TV.
Court TV was much better. Guess this cop chasing, things going boom is cheaper to make.

5. I think they should be called 'Reality TV'
instead of 'TruTV'. I don't like it. I don't watch it during the day to know if they have eliminated the trial coverage, but their programming at night just plain sucks. One show that I particularly miss is Dominick Dunne's 'Power, Privilege, and Justice'. I haven't seen any episodes that I recall, and certainly no new episodes. Have they just canceled this altogether?

9. May 29, it still blows
Other than Forensic Files, which other program on the new Tru TV would you publically admit to watching. And, the answer must be: none. We know that you watch COPS like some kind of sick junkie getting his fix but hey, no worries, that's like sex behind closed doors and we all know never to talk about it. Ahahaha.

Tru TV was pretty much a name-change, nothing else. Ooh, more Beach Patrol and Speeders! Come on, gimme a break.

American Justice, which I'm pretty sure is produced by A&E Network and appears on that cable channel, is the high mark for such regular programs of this genre, Forensic Files is far below it but way better than anything else on Tru TV.

Check out National Geographic when they do a show on prisons, gang violence, etc. They do a pretty entertaining job of it. NatGeo's politics aren't always obvious but they don't seem to promote right-wing hobby horses like wretched Tru TV.

Oh, shit, gotta go, COPS is coming on.
