"The 40 year old Virgin" (NYT article about Abrams/Msnbc)
Here's a snip so we all know Keith won't be affected in the changes a'comin':

One senior NBC executive said, "There will probably be one to two hours of long-form taped shows every night in prime time." The executive spoke on condition of anonymity because the decisions were not final and would affect some of the prime-time hosts, like Rita Cosby, Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough, now working on the channel.

Two of the channel's hosts, Chris Matthews of "Hardball" and Keith Olbermann of "Countdown," clearly will not be affected, because MSNBC's managers consistently cite those programs as long-sought breakthroughs.

1. Great news on page 2!
Mr. Olbermann, meanwhile, has picked up both viewers and some strong word-of-mouth for his irreverent style. His show is up 36 percent since January in that 25-54 group. MSNBC points out that during the same period, CNN and Fox have been down that those hours.

3. Yes indeedy, I thought this would let us all
breathe a sigh of relief, especially after all that nastiness about his alleged emails! Funny, nothing ever came of that? Or did I miss something

5. that was all a fart in a whirlwind
wonder who started that in the first place? Wonder who started the stuff about overhearing his agent on a train (when said agent was on the opposite coast)?

6. I think I read it here first ?
Can't remember, but it did spread to the general forums, but maybe because it was in the NY Daily rag ? Glad Keefer has risen above it, since obviously a mention would give those attention ho's more publicity.

7. yeah, we talked about it here, a fair bit
but it's not like it was something that people were talking about at the water cooler. It was a blurb in a tabloid that got a little circulation, but never really went much of anywhere, as near as I can tell. We're not talking Dan Rather and the Killian memos or anything like that.

11. I love that idea, Catch
Maybe they'll let David have Abrams old time slot. Of course, I'd probably rarely get to see it, but it would be nice. Of course, if getting rid of Tweety is an option, that would definitely work for me.
