my renter's insurance settled on the stolen bent
and I ordered a Burley Jett Creek.

Made in Oregon by an employee owned company.

Maybe not quite as light as the EZSport AX hand spec'd, but it is a start.

Now I just have to survive the wait on Shipping from Hostelshoppe to here.

1. That's nice looking!
So no luck turning up the AX?
If a kid ripped it off, one could always hope he broke his furkin' neck trying to ride it....

2. or a foot
trying to ride the eggbeaters pedals with sneakers.

I put up over 100 flyers all over town on foot
limping with a cane. If i ever do see someone riding it, I will show them how much of my stick fighting skill survived the stroke.

4. it has a rep for not being the fastest bent
but I have ridden fast bents, and if I want to ride one, I can adjust my g/f's Bacchetta Giro.

After having completed a 250 mile ride in June, I realized how much I like Long Wheelbase Bents. I didn't realize until I spent 5 plus days in the saddle (drinking coffee like a fiend when the exhaustion hit) ho w much mental effort I was putting into keepingn a short wheelbase bent upright and in a straight line.

Sure, the LWB doesn't blast away from a standing start, nor does it turn on a dime. But it does flex enough to take the road down to an occasional bump, and the Giro almost will let you read the date on a ran over penny.

An LWB will also track with a lot less white knuckle effect on gravel or bad pavement, and that is also a good thing.

Now all I have to do is survive psychologically until it gets here.

(insert whine here)
