I think maybe this is a vent
Not sure how to title this post actually. Sex drives? How bout that? And how do you talk about something like that anyway lol!? So here goes. I've been listening to ppl say for years that women don't even hit a peak until their early 30's, and frankly I always thought, yeah right. Get over it already. I swear, I had no drive for years. Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad, but it was bad lol. So now, all of a sudden, I have a sex drive again, but it is INSANE. It's like some crazy cruel cosmic joke because when my husband was 25 he may have been able to keep up. Now? Puleaze. It's so not fair. And I swear to god, it's actually painful. I will never again laugh at another blue balls joke lol. So I'm wondering, is this normal or typical at this stage of life? I feel like I'm on some crazy hormone overload (and yes those levels are all completely normal), and it is driving me up the freaking wall. I'm actually starting to have a little sympathy for men, and ladies let me tell ya, that is scary lol. ;)

1. Eh, Dunno
I had some mental / emotional issues to deal with that kept my sex drive completely buried for years. After that was done, my libido came screaming from out of nowhere and it wants company. Could be that, could just be hormones; either way, I'm enjoying it.

3. That may have something to do with it
For a couple of years there, my marriage was in serious trouble. It's really good now, and my sex drive is through the roof.

2. Mine was no big deal in my 20s, stronger in my 30s, launched
into overdrive as I got into my 40s, and it's still that strong as I just hit 50! Fortunately, I've had a regular "friend with benefits" who is 15 years younger than me, and that works out real well! :D But unfortunately, I don't know how much longer that will last (it's been 2 years now), as he's looking for someone around his age to marry/have a family with. And as I'm looking for a life partner, I'm hoping I find someone who can match my drive (especially concerned if he's my age or older). I'm also hoping that the currently-hanging-over-my-head menopause cloud doesn't wreck my sex drive or the ability of my body to do what my mind wants it to do.

4. Oh my
I think I'm in overdrive now. I doubt I can take an increase lol. My biggest concern is a decrease. I do not want to go back to two years ago lol!
