Yes to Obama/Biden

And, as I've posted here before - I think that Hillary is better not being Obama's running mate. There are too many on DU, on Newsweek, MSNBC, Jon Stewart and Bill Maher who would just love to continue trashing her. And, of course, if we lose, she would be the one to blame.

I hope that she runs again and, this time, drop Penn and Wolfson.

1. I Think Biden's Great
Actually, he was my first choice this season.

I hope Clinton runs again, but I have a feeling the news media will completely trash any woman over the age of, say, 55 who isn't constantly followed around by her own personal make-up artist.

5. he was mine, too
Then I went to Edwards, then I was undecided, then to Hillary. I actually didn't support Obama or Hillary at the beginning of the primary season because I thought they were both too "rock star" and I have a tendency to root for the underdog. No wonder I am always so disappointed!

2. Biden's a mixed bag
Backing the Violence against Women Act is a plus. So is knowing foreign policy backwards and forewards. I enjoyed him in the debates.

On the other hand, he suffers a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease. I know I'm living in topsy-turvy world when the man whom Joe described as a "clean, bright and articulate African-American" picks him as a running mate. Plus he joked that his wife is gorgeous, but has a doctorate, "which is a problem." Not fucking funny, Joe.

The bankruptcy bill proves he's in the back pocket of his banking masters in Delaware. Plus, there's the inconvenient fact that he also voted for the IWR, but I guess it's OK when a man does it.

For me, the negatives outweigh the positives. I'm still waiting and seeing, but I don't hold out much hope. The party this year has telegraphed clearly that women can shut up and bake cookies.

3. I guess it doesn't matter
that Maher thought obama made a HUGE mistake not choosing Hillary as his running mate.

4. Yeah, I've already voted for Obama and Biden.
I'm not going to take out my anger at the way the party treated Hillary on the whole country.
