I celebrated 6 months sober last night
In May my life blew up and my Higher Power rescued me from drinking and a 9 year relationship that was less than healthy. While I remain homeless (technically) and away from my 9 year old son, I have food, a place to sleep at night(Salvation Army shelter), and my sobriety.

I feel at times like I am the character playing myself. I am in Lexington, and had not been here in 10 years, never lived here. I have made a lot of good friends in the recovery community here in Lexington, and although I had left a treatment center due to health problems, my sisters still see me at meetings in town.

I am really grateful to be alive today, that I have a chance to put my life back together. Cheers!

7. Congratulations,Mandyky!
That's fantastic!

Remember, it's not only One Day at a Time,
some days it's one hour at a time. You break it
down anyway you need to.
( My sponsor, who now lives in Oregon called me last
night and reminded me of that.)

You are indeed a miracle.
Those first months can be a bear.

Happy, Happy half-year anniversary!!

8. Thanks everyone!
HP is checking me this time out in sobriety. I can tell another month is ready to roll over because things tighten a bit on me. I had some sobriety before, and couldn't admit my powerlessness. This time HP is making sure I know it and get it and want it.

Thanks for pulling for me and keeping me in your prayers!
