4. I didn't get to watch the game
Edited on Wed May-24-06 03:13 PM by brentspeak
and for once, I'm glad I didn't. Some friends had the honor of watching the US lose to a second-string Moroccan team.

(summary of friends' report):

Apparently, the US has major problems on offense; McBride is not the kind of forward who creates goals, but the midfield is doing a poor job serving him the ball. Also, both Josh Wolff and Eddie Johnson appear clueless on the field. Worst of all, Claudio Reyna, one of the few US players who knows how to create scoring opportunities, strained his right hamstring yet again, and had to be subbed early.

And why isn't Taylor Twellman on the team??!!

:banghead:

The only good news is that Pablo Mastroeni and Bobby Convey played well, as did Oguchi Onyewu.

I don't want another three-and-out repeat like 1998.

5. Pablo Mastroeni was the MVP
He was good, but I guess they didn't want to give it to one of those dirty arabs :sarcasm:, even though they won the game.

9. Much better performance
that was a good game, and they did well with 10 (Bocanegra ejected) for the last 8 mins.

8. Better
Where's the air game? Ching redeemed himself from his earlier missed opportunites. Same with Johnson, with his nice chip for the Dempsey header. But they have to sink more of those chances. Great games from Convey and Howard.
