I finally was able to watch the race last night.

I was glad to see "Fizzy" win and be able to dedicate it to his departed chum. My husband joked that Flavio will arrange to have another of his childhood friends killed before each race weekend from now on.

Once again, Kimi just can't get a break. *sigh* It's just painful to watch sometimes.

The so-called Ferrari resurgence seems to have been short-lived. Or maybe it was just the hot weather?

I'm still really liking the new qualifying, even though it is complicated. It's a lot more compelling to watch than the single-car, which I also enjoyed.

I wish that there was some way to give an incentive for people to re-join the races. Last year it started to happen, because race finish order determined qualifying order. Obviously that has now gone away. I like the idea of people getting back in if they can. Having half the field retire makes the finish seem like an anti-climax sometimes. Plus, if your favorite driver retires on the first lap, it's a pretty big let-down.

Well, now we have two weeks 'til Australia.....

1. I will now attempt to start a flamewar.
It seems Herr Schumster isn't that good at charging from the back of the grid. Compare his performance to Massa's.

In Bahrain, where both of them qualified in the front row, Schumi handily outpaced Massa.

2. I doubt you'll get any flames on that. Nobody here seems to like Schumi
I know I used to hate his guts. But my heart softened considerably after his failure of a season last year.

What can I say? I'm attracted to losers.
Whoops, now THAT'S probably flamebait!
:D
