On this day, the devastation after Katrina was evident and these two screendumps from the RNC and the DNC frontpages tells a lot...

(To be honest, and I think we should, the RNC had a microscopic blog headline on the gray area outside the main content,
titled "Hurrican Katrina Relief" and also a donate button to the Red Cross in the same column.
But note how the main content is continued, business as usual, without a trace of this major disaster -
and this from the Party in charge of the country)

Good catch. I know that Mr.bush didn't figure out that there was a problem by this date, but it just seems that someone in the republican party would've. There are many repubs on the gulf, I don't get their abandonment. I don't get the abandonment of the whole situation, but even their own? They have no class or ethics.
