HOW DARE YOU?!?!?!
'Llo All,

Want to be enraged?

"“Would you really vote for someone named Jun Choi?” asked New Jersey shock jock Craig Carton on the radio. “We're forgetting the fact that we're Americans … No specific minority group or foreign group should ever, ever dictate the outcome of an American election.”

Want to be proud to be a Democrat and an American?

Mr. Choi, a Democrat, won his bid--he is the mayor-elect of Edison New Jersey.

Oh, and Mr, Carton.... YES I WOULD VOTE FOR A MAN WITH A 'FOREIGN' NAME, IF HE WAS THE BEST CANDIDATE. To do list: kick your sorry f*cking race-baiting ass. Oh, you say "we are forgetting the fact that we are Americans," and "No specific minority group or foreign group should ever, ever dictate the outcome of an American election.” Ok, we WASPs will just stay home next November...

You know what is most nauseating about racist, bigoted dirtbags? It t'aint (believe it or not) their revolting beliefs. It is the utterly insulting presumption that if you share their color/ethnicity etc. you THUS NECESSARILY FUCKING SHARE their sentiments.

Robert

1. Absolutely sickening.
Looks like Jun Choi got his revenge, though it'd be great if he could use his newfound position to really hurt these scumbags.

And good on you, Robert, for writing that letter.

The only people here who are really just natives are the Indians. It's disgusting how people are. I can't believe where I live now days. *sigh* Instead of hating other people we should embracing our differences and it makes us a great country.

2. Google the name Craig Carton
It sickens me to see that some people (horrors!) make a living off of spreading hate and crap.

I googled his name and this guy's whole modus operandi is to dump on minorities... he's dissed Arabs, Japanese, God knows who else. There are letters from organizations complaining to the station about him, and not just recently.

Shit like this is what's killing America. Not gay marriage. Not abortion. Hatred.

People like this SOB, people like Dan Savage... Their appeal is this: relax America! Be a bigoted bastard! If any should question you, fuck them! They're 'pliticklee krect!'

Revolting!

Robert

Edited on Thu Jan-12-06 01:00 AM by antonialee839
on our sports station, always saying stupid things,we rode his dumb ass out on a rail. I guess his new bag is "shock jock".
When he was here, he was nothing more than a piss-ant. Come to think of it, he's still a piss-ant.

7. OMG, that is the stupidest thing ever
Um, Mr. Carton... unless your name is actually "Runs With Cartons," YOU are descended from immigrants, and are therefore, according to your own statement, not entitled to emit hot air about anything having to do with American politics.

That REALLY pisses me off. Not just his statement but his utter stupidity. It is so grotesque as to make me want to :puke:

Did this prick even go to 7th-grade history class?

9. This Is...
...A battle--no less--for the kind of country we will be.

I remember an anecodote from Mcnamara's In Retrospect. It was to my mind a further illustration of LBJ's tragically flawed but great character. President Johnson was seated with a number of prominent senators and/or congessman. (Sorry, I forget...) The subject was a landmark civil rights bill. Johnson interrupted what had degenerated into a petty talk of political liabilities, with a tale of his own. It ran roughly (paraprased to hell) like this: "Gentleman, I was out driving this weekend. My Maid asked that we pull over. She needed to use the bathroom. I asked her why the hell didn't she use the bathroom at the gas station we had just stopped at. She said 'they wouldn't let me.'They wouldn't let me.'" Johnson stamped his fist on the table--"Gentleman, is that the kind of country you want?! That's not the kind of country I want!"

I don't want a country where we have 'rescued' torture from the fucking 16th century. I don't want a country where it is ok for someone's fucking race to be the determining factor in one's initial impression...

This is all so fucking depressing. We aren't going forward as a country we are going backward. I cannot remember, even during Clinton's presidency--and here I do not fault him--a time when we could think in terms of progression, not 'damage control.'

The only positive thing I can summon up is that maybe the American people will finally realize what a bunch of radical idealogues they have voted into office, that they will realize WHAT they are getting/have gotten.

Robert

P.S. When the record of the Nixon White House suddenly seems relatively liberal ...God help us.

11. Christ, what a moron.
Would he vote for someone named Smith, or Jones? Pulaski? Kleinfeldt? Rodriguez? Van Vliet? O'Shaugnessy? Robichaux? Nothing BUT "foreign" names here in these United States, unless you happen to be a member of a native tribe.

13. That's just sad
Even in the "horrible" new south, the Republican candidate for LA Govenor (now US Rep Jengal) was of Indian* heritage, and I never heard anything like that.

Note -- Indian = Native or from the country of India.
