I would like to take the time to thank all of you here for your reactions to the Duke case. I'm serious. I am an adult entertainer in NC and have been for 12 years. I am not on a "side" per se; I am waiting until all evidence has been rendered; and have for the most part stayed out of the discussions here about it. I want to thank you for the wonderful LACK of judgement on the ladies in the same profession I am in. Almost every one of you has reacted as if they were any other woman; which is true; they could have been. In this job I certainly run into more than my fair share of judgement; assumption and condemnation; and most of you reaffirmed my faith in the progress of our society. You give me hope. I feel more at home here than ever before. Regardless of how I am sure you personally view going to a gentleman's club for yourself or your friends; you all gave my profession the respect it (can) deserve. Trust me when I say there are those of us who are working from the inside to make it better.

Whichever way this comes out, I personally wouldn't let one (possible) bad apple spoil the whole bunch. To be perfectly candid about my own views and background, I would never have survived 20 years of a nightmare marriage without some solace from the fine professionals in your field, who reminded me that not all women are cruel and cold. Thank you for what you do; it's not just entertainment.
