So how low would * numbers BE?
But in his responses to reporters’ questions after his speech Rove summed up his and the president’s problems this way: “We’re in a sour time, I’ll readily admit it,” he said in reply to a British reporter who asked what has gone wrong with the Bush presidency.

“Being in the middle of a war where people turn on their television sets and see brave men and women dying is not something that makes people happy and optimistic and upbeat,” Rove said.

So, I don't know about you, but I'M not seeing much news about the war on TV - oh, maybe when there's a particularly horrible day, but not on a daily basis. So if this is the cause of Bush's low poll numbers, how low would they be if we REALLY heard what was going on over there?

On the other hand, if the war ISN'T the cause of Bush's low poll numbers, what is? His lies ABOUT the war, perhaps? The fact that the truth is leaking out of every governmental pore, despite the Reich's frantic attempts to stifle it? Hmmm?

2. Yes, I wonder if that isn't the most critical element.
Nothing causes bad feelings worse than impacting someone's pocketbook.

3. Paying $50 to fill up my little car is leaving me breathless.
I don't imagine that "family truck" owners are feeling too good either.

4. Somebody tell the Iraq War to stop driving down Bush's numbers!
How unpatriotic of it. It is soooo mean and partisan! What did Bush ever do to deserve this unfair persecution by the Iraq War? I just don't get it, Karl!?!?!?!

<sarcasm smilie>

6. That was the very idea he was going for.
In his comments - I think he was trying to spin it that "war is never popular" blah blah. What a weasel.

8. Rove and his gang of idiots
should've quit while they were ahead - taken the loot from their first term and retired to their own private islands in Dubai.
