Response from Verizon regarding phone records --TOTAL DENIAL!
Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. I appreciate your inquiry regarding your personal call records. My name is Lee, and I am happy to assist you today.

Verizon Wireless does not provide its customers' call records, or any information from those records, to the NSA. Any suggestion in news reports that we do is utterly false.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to continue as your wireless service provider. Thank you for using Verizon Wireless products and services. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please reply to this e-mail.

2. Hmmmmmm
As Will Rogers would say, 'all I know is what I read in the papers' and I read that Verizon turned over phone records to the NSA. If it is false, I guess it's too late for me to retract the statement I wrote on my phone bill which I mailed off this morning that read, "SHAME ON YOU VERIZON":shrug:

3. I cancelled my cell service with them this morning.

able to cancel without penalty.

This is part of what I got in an email:

"Anything to do with the NSA is of course highly classified, so we can not comment on whether or not the news article causing concern is even accurate. But we can say that, to the extent that we cooperate with government authorities, we are confident that we are complying with all applicable statutes. We appreciate the continuing opportunity to provide you with service."

What do you think that means??
