1. CNN has entire transcript up.
Dean referred to Kerry's remark that we kept on staying in Vietnam because politicians couldn't make up their minds. I was just looking for that in the transcript, but don't see it.

7. "VP Cheney has no credibility in this matter." Transcript.
QUESTION: About a year ago, you said that the insurgency in Iraq was in its final throes. Do you still believe this?

DICK CHENEY, VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: I do.

BLITZER: He then went on to say that last year, the tide began to turn against the insurgents. And now, the U.S. is winning, and it's just a matter of getting the job done.

DEAN: First of all, Vice President Cheney has no credibility in this matter. Second of all, we have two of our brave soldiers that have been kidnapped by the insurgents, who are still in captivity right now.

You know, this -- we have been hearing this, a lot of this stuff, from this administration. I thought John Kerry had it right when he made a speech on the Senate floor, saying, we stayed in Vietnam a long time because politicians couldn't figure out what to do. And that cost us thousands of American troops.

We don't need to do that again. We know these guys got us in under false pretenses. The truth is, Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. The fact of the matter is that you can't trust the Republicans to defend the country, again, not because they don't want to, but they are not smart enough to listen to the military and listen to people who have served, like Jack Murtha."

And the irony of this is, one of the things that Jack Murtha has proposed is to put 20,000 additional troops into Afghanistan, where they are needed, because Afghanistan is now going south on us. Now, that's a war we believe we should have been in and we are still in."

9. Brazile: "I'm the party diplomat." Oh, Donna.
Torie Clarke was insulting Dean, Donna helps her out, damning with faint praise...this was the interview after Dean's.

BRAZILE: "He's the party chairman, not the party's diplomat. I'm the diplomat. "

Donna, sometimes you are just too damn diplomatic. But thanks anyway.

At least she did not disagree with the 50 state strategy.

13. Off subject of Dean Interview ...BUT
Edited on Mon Jun-19-06 09:31 PM by KoKo01
WHY is Donna Brazille still out there speaking for Dems along with Bob Shrum?

Do you know? Could Dean have cut them off and sent others as spokespersons?

Why doesn't DNC ditch Shrum and Brazill or if they are just paid Media Ops why doesn't Dean send others out in their place?

To let you know I've sent Dean over $200. in the last six months... adding the .01 cents and writing on the check.. "to support Howard Dean and DNC not anyone else." I'm giving to local candidates, too as I try to bypass DCCC and DSCC..because I don't like Emmanuel and Schumer. Also working for local state candidates and giving at fundraisers and doing the best I can as many other DU'ers are doing with limited funds.
