Homeland Security run amok

We went on a canoe trip this weekend on a beautiful river in SE Missouri. One of the people in our group had been there as a kid and remembered there were caves alongside the river and she had explored them with her family. So she asked the lady we rented our canoes from about the caves and the lady said that Homeland Security had closed them all up. Terrorism in SE MO? Sure . . .

Anyway we went on down the river and after a few miles we noticed some concrete on the banks of the river. So we looked up at the cliffs above the concrete and could see where the caves had been sealed up alright - with concrete! It was grotesque. This is a very scenic river. You can see all the way to the bottom in most spots on the river. It is spring fed, the water is cool and there were tons of fish. I have never seen so many brown trout in one river in my life. And right in the middle of this scenic river - CONCRETE trash on the bank!

Just one more thing to hate about the bush administration.
