President Bush rocked his head in time with country music and bantered with a look-alike comedian during a benefit for the Ford’s Theater Sunday night.

Abu Musab Zarqawi “was an evildoer. He is now an evildider,” comic Steve Bridges said, referring to the recent death of the terror leader Iraq in a perfect Texas accent.

The real president didn’t stop laughing during Bridges’ routine. “That guy’s not much of speaker,” Bush said of his impersonator. “But he makes up for it with his good looks.”

-------------

Apparently this will be shown to the nation on Independence Day.

1. That guy. What a card.
Let's put him on trial at the Hague and see if he can still find something to crack a joke about.

But both men used more somber tones when they made tributes to military men and women serving overseas. “We thank them for their courage, for their service. We are forever in their debt,” Bridges said, with no trace of humor.

12. Not both, though, just the comedian. No somber tones from gwb.

Life, and death, are one big f*^#ing joke to the frat boy.

It's ironic he has to use a comedian to communicate those "somber tones".

Our nation has a major head case occupying the White House.

15. He is always at his best this time of year. Remember 2001?
"Well, it's an unimaginable honor to be the president during the Fourth of July of this country. It means what these words say, for starters. The great inalienable rights of our country. We're blessed with such values in America. And I — it's — I'm a proud man to be the nation based upon such wonderful values." —George W. Bush, visiting the Jefferson Memorial, Washington, D.C., July 2, 2001

"I can't tell you what it's like to be in Europe, for example, to be talking about the greatness of America. But the true greatness of America are the people." —George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., July 2, 2001
