Does Shrub plan on withdrawing troops or not ??
I say he does. And that is part of the November election plan to make it appear we are winning. Never mind that he had the wimply little Republicans out front saying otherwise. Just watch the two divisions come out before the election? Then, he will say, we have started a withdrawal and we will continue as the "new government" continues to make progress. They have no other option but to get the hell out as soon as possible. They will keep a sizable force to protect the oil fields and offer security to the new puppets. Otherwise, they are cutting and running like a sheepdog... :)

4. They will be, but
what media outlet will give them any credit, let alone play their statements?

3. I say they plan to give they impression that they will withdraw some
But in reality, it's more like Nixon's "Secret Plan to End The War" -- the big secret being that they have no intention of actually withdrawing the troops, though they might have a temporary drawdown right around October (which then goes back up after November).

5. No. He plans to bring our victorious troops home just before November
so they can be celebrated in parade and thanked publicly 24/7 by Bush's PR department (meaning, the media), and so that the soldiers can thank Bush profusely for supporting them and giving them this glorious victory for Rome... um, America!

In other words, he's going to cut and run, but with better spin.

6. Sure he wants us to think he is, because he knows its the popular thing
But if he really were, then why is he building several permanent military bases in Iraq?

8. Actions do speak louder than words. But if the media isn't telling us...?

How do you fund and build permanent bases in Iraq yet at the same time say 'we'll stand down as Iraqis stand up' ? The media doesn't challenge this president, now do they ?

And the R's behind the scenes say we'll be stuck in Iraq for 'ten, twenty years'

""When asked this week on CNN how long the U.S. military is likely to remain in Iraq, Senator John McCain replied "probably" 10 or 20 years. "That's not so bad," he said, adding, "We've been in Korea for 50 years. We've been in West Germany for 50 years."""

Are ALL R's this nutz ?

11. Bush has absolutely no intention of leaving Iraq. . .
Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 11:03 AM by DinahMoeHum
You don't build 14-17 "permanent" bases plus a "super-embassy-complex" in Baghdad just for the hell of it.
