bush says looking into bank accounts legal and congress was
informed. since he says this about things that are not legal, and congress was not FULLY informed i have to question it. sorry, just the cynic i am (actually i am very gullible so this takes some doing for me)

so.... i have not paid any attention what so ever to the story or the happenings. was this legal, is congress truly fully informed? i appreciate it.

1. You're not being cynical, just realizing the truth behind the spin
whenever he gets caught doing something illegal he says the same thing "It's legal because I say so, because it's for national security, and because I told one or two of my most staunch supporters/ennablers and they don't have a problem with it, Congress has been briefed."

4. Well, since Spector said yesterday that he really couldn't comment
on it, because he had to have more information and didn't really know what it entailed, I'd assume that if Congress was "briefed" it was similar to the wiretapping "brief".

6. Phone tapping: legal. Bank account snooping: legal.
Peeking in your windows: Soon to be declared legal by activist "Supreme" Court justices Scalia and Thomas.
